It Felt Like

 It Felt Like

An insight to my CVAP Class, Day 1

One of the most valuable things I learned in this class was the importance of establishing self-worth.

The morning session with Sir Navi was a much-needed confidence boost, especially when he said, "There's no such thing as an ugly voice." As a middle-aged woman, I often feel insecure about many things. It seemed like young people know more about technology, which I'm not good at, and older people make wise decisions while I have mostly made the wrong ones. The morning session was something I didn't know I needed until it happened.

In the afternoon, we went to our breakout rooms, where I met our mentors and classmates. I felt young again, and it was nice to be a student again. However, I got disconnected. Suddenly the microphone stopped working and I had to restart everything. It made me realize the importance of continuously learning how to use and navigate technology.

Day 1 was a confirmation that I am in a good place. Reflecting on my experience, I am convinced that enrolling in this class was the right decision. Thank you CVAP for accepting my application to be one of your scholars.

  1. Age is just a number. We can continuously learn new things at our age. Your self-worth will have value if you value yourself. We get too busy in our daily lives thinking of other people, of our families. But remind yourself that it is not a crime nor a sin to choose "YOU". Enjoy your CVAP Journey!
